2006: Nippon Ham starter Masaru Takeda has a no hitter going against Rakuten at Sapporo Dome when he has a ball hit off his lefthand and suffers a fracture with two outs in the seventh. The out was made on th eplaye to keep the no no intact, but it was then broken up in the eighth on a two out single to right from Akihisa Makita off of reliever Hisashi Takeda. And to add insult to injury, the win went to reliever  Yoshinori Tateyama in a 2-0 final.

2005: Yokohama infielder Hitoshi Taneda is run by plate umpire during a game with Hiroshima. It was Taneda's first ejection in his 16 year career. He was subsequently suspended for a game due to what he said to the arbiter.
