of 800,000 yen (about $8,000 at the time) to a consumer loan firm (probably
yakuza-run, one would assume) and, on November 18, 2004, demanded
a loan from coworker Kazuko Nishiuchi, 67, at her home in Ageo, Saitama
Prefecture. She refused and he pushed her down and took an estimated 1.75
million yen (approximately $17,000) from her, loaded her into a car, drove
1.8 miles to the Arakawa River and dumped her in it, whereupon she drowned.
Her body was found two days later. |
