| Biography: Five game homer streak (4/13-4/18/2003). Nine RBI game (7/6/2002). Inside the park homer (8/31/2004 against Hanshin at Meiji Jingu Stadium off of Trey Hodges). Became the first foreign player in Yakult history to attain 1000 hits solely with that ballclub (4/21/2007 against Chunichi). His 200th hit in 2007 made him the first foreigner ever as well as the first righthanded hitter overall to attain that mark (10/4/2007 against Yokohama in the fifth inning off of Naoki Mitsuhashi, an infield single toward third). His 204 hits in 2007 is a Central League record and second all time to Ichiro.100th homer (6/15/2004 against Yomiuri at Meiji Jingu Stadium in the ninth inning off of Hideki Okajima). 200th homer (8/19/2007 against Yomiuri at Tokyo Dome in the fourth inning off of Norihito Kaneto, becoming the first foreign player in team history to slug that number for the Swallows). 300th homer (5/15/2010 against Lotte at Tokyo Dome in the fifth inning off of Yoshihisa Naruse, a solo jack). His eight straight seasons with 100 RBIs exceeded a pro yakyu record held by Sadaharu Oh. Also currently owns the record for most consecutive games played by a foreigner in NPB annals. He also owns the single season Central League record for three hit games with 24 (2007). Also noted for taking comedy bits from Japanese tv shows and doing them for fans during hero interviews. However, Yakult then decided it couldn't afford him any longer and he was subsequently signed by Yomiuri during the 2007 offseason. 1000th hit (4/21/2007 against Chunichi at Meiji Jingu Stadium in the third inning off of Kazuki Yoshimi). 1500th hit (8/26/2009 against Chunichi at Nagoya Dome in the fifth inning off of Susumu Kawai). 1000th game (4/18/2008 against Hiroshima at Hiroshima Municipal Stadium in a start in leftfield).1500th game (8/14/2011 against Hiroshima at Hiroshima at Tokyo Dome in a start in leftfield). 1000th RBI (4/10/2010 against Chunichi at Tokyo Dome in the eighth inning off of Yoshihiro Suzuki on a grand slam). 3000th total base (9/19/2010 against Hanshin at Koshien Stadium in the fourth inning off of Shinobu Fukuhara, a single to center). Is only one of two foreign players ever in NPB history to rack up a thousand RBIs. Was named MVP of the 2008 Central League playoff series. First man to get back to back CL MVPs since Sadaharu Oh. His eight straight seasons with at least 150 hits is a pro yakyu record. Third son Alexander pitched with the Kobe Suns of the independent Kansai League in 2011. Has more consecutive games starting at cleanup in Giants history than anyone in that club's history at 469 games when he was hit by a pitch on July 13, 2011. Had a 985 straight games played streak that also ended that year. Is the all time hits leader among foreign players. Signed with Yokohama as a free agent during the 2011 offseason. Selected to six all star teams (2002-2003, 2007-2010). Reference: Wikipedia Japan Official Blog Official Homepage |

There is a commemorative plaque where the 55th homer landed at Osaka Dome. His 137 runs scored in 2001 is second most all time. Tied a Japan record with grand slams in back to back games (6/23/2003 and 6/25/2003). Tied a Pacific League record with three walkoff homers in a season (1996). His 364 TB in a season is a Pacific League record (2001). Had a grand slam in back to back games to tie a pro yakyu record held by three others (6/23-6/25/2003). His .555 lifetime slugging percentage while with Kintetsu is a Pacific League record. The 101 homers totaled up between he and teammate Norihiro Nakamura in 2001 is a Japan record for any two hitters in the same lineup. Helped Yomiuri set a new all time homer record for a team with 259 as well as a new total bases mark of 2340. His four homer titles are the most by any foreign player.. He is also only the second man in Japanese pro history to win homer crowns in both leagues. Is reportedly fluent in Osaka dialect. Signed by Cincinnati after leaving Japan, but he didn't make the big club and decided to retire rather than go to the minors. Then Orix decided to pick him up after slugger Kazuhiro Kiyohara had more knee problems during spring training, 2007. He subsequently homered on Opening Day off of Softbank ace Kazumi Saito. 1000th hit (8/13/2002 against Orix at Kobe Green Stadium in the eighth inning off of Ed Yarnall, an RBI single to left). 1500th hit (6/30/2007 against Nippon Ham at Osaka Dome in the seventh inning off of Shintaro Ejiri, a single to center). 100th homer (7/20/1999). 200th homer (4/22/2002 against Nippon Ham at Tokyo Dome in the first inning off of Carlos Mirabal). 300th homer (5/2/2004 against Hiroshima at Tokyo Dome in the eighth inning off of John Bale). 400th homer (9/2/2007 against Lotte at Chiba Marine Stadium off of Yasuhiko Yabuat in the ninth inning, a solo jack to center in his 1435th game, second fastest all time to Sadaharu Oh and the 14th man to that mark. He was also the first foreigner ever to that number). 1000th RBI (4/4/2007 againsrt Lotte on a homer off of Shingo Ono in his 1325th game, third fastest all time). 1500th game (5/26/2008 against Yokohama at Yokohama Stadium). Missed his fifth homer title in 2007 because he sat out the last few weeks with a groin injury. He also owns the Japan record for most ejections and is the first player ever to be run while with three separate clubs. Owns the record for most games played by a foreigner in NPB plus the most hits and homers. Has homered off of every team that has been in NPB during his career and also owns the NPB record for most pitchers taken deep at 224. His 11 straight 100 strikeout seasons is a pro yakyu record. Couldn't get together with Orix on a new contract for 2010 and is thought to have retired. Selected to nine all star teams (1997-2004, 2007). Reference: Wikipedia Japan |

| Biography: As a total offensive and defensive package, some consider Rose to be the greatest foreign player of all time. His 12 sac flies in 1991996 is a Centyral League record. His 153 RBIs in 1999 is second all time. His 192 hits the same season is a Central League record (1000). Knocked in ten runs in a game to tie a Central League record (7/22/1999 against Yakult at Yokohama Stadium as part of a 4-6 night). First player ever to accumulate 100 RBIs tha first half of a season (1999). Was also the fastest ever to 100 RBIs in a season, 81 games (1999). He is the only player in Japanese history to rack up three lifetime cycles. Left Yokohama in a salary dispute. The club released him, but nobody else decided to pick him up. Then in spring of 2003, he was signed by Lotte, but unhappy with his performance in spring training and his family not being happy with their living situation, he retired for good before the regular season got under way. Once said that when he goes to the plate, he tried to think about something other than the opposing pitcher. Selected to four all star teams (1995, 1997, 1999-2000). |

| Biography: Signed by Rakuten in May, 2010. Couldn't handle breaking balls away, as he tried to pull them early in his stint with the Golden Eagles and that was exacerbated by terrible defense, but his improved batting down the stretch got him another chance, even with the colossal strikeout rate.
