Biography: Came to Japan in 1963 and signed with Toei. Converted into an outfielder in 1966. Selected to four all star teams, going 11-21 in nine total games with one homer and six  RBIs (1967, 1970, 1972, 1979). Helped start the KBO in 1982 as player-manager of MBC, becoming its only .400 hitter ever. Has also managed at LG, Samsung and the Lotte Giants.
