Clubbed first home run in Japanese pro history, an inside the park roundtripper against the Tokyo Senators that was his only homer of the year (5/4/1936 off of Akira Noguchi at Koshien Stadium). Biography: Pitched and played the outfield in high school. Drafted on the fourth round (1986). Drilled a sayonara homer in a minor leagua all star game to win it and earn the MVP (7/22/1988 at Tokyo Dome). Slugged sayonara homers off of the same pitcher twice one year apart (5/3/1991-1992). Hammered a two out pinch hit ninth inning walk off grand slam (9/30/2001 to right against Lotte at Kobe Green Stadium off of Masahide Kobayashi). His three pinch hit slams in 2001 is a record. His four career pinch hit slams tied a record with one other player. His seven lifetime sayonara homers is seventh on the all time list. His 14 lifetime salamis is second all time and is a PL record.
