Biography: Became his high school team's ace his sophomore year and played in two Koshien Tournaments (summer 2002, spring 2003). Played for Mitsubishi out of high school, but when that company became embroiled in a scandal, the baseball team suspended its activities and so he left for college, raking up 32 career wins combined in the Hanshin University League play and national collegiate tournaments. Drafted on the second round (2008). All ten of his 2010 victories came in games where he replaced a starter who had gotten knocked out of the box early. Fastball clocked at a high of 94 but is usually more usually around 90mph with a slider, forkball and shuuto. Reference:  Wikipedia Japan

His 18 saves in 2007 became a new Eastern League record. Traded in January, 2008 to Nippon Ham. Traded to Yokohama during the 2009 offseason. Traded to Seibu during the 2010 offseason. Is married to one of Seibu infielder Hiroshi Hirao's cousins and they have two daughters. Fastball tops out around 90 with a slider, forkball and shuuto. Reference: Wikipedia Japan

Biography: Mainly raised in Takasago, Hyogo Prefecture, but since his father grew up in Tokyo, he was a Giants fan as a youth. Became his high school team's ace and cleanup hitter as a senior, slugging 25 homers for his schoolboy career while being clocked at 91mph. . Played in one Koshien Tournament. Drafted on the first round (2001). Was the first Giants rookie fresh out of high school to win six games since Tsuneo Horiuchi in 1966. Had some shoulder problems in 2003 and it weighed on his mind to the extent that he altered his delivery in 2004 and got killed by Eastern League lineups and his velocity dropped to the mid-80's. His velocity eventually recovered in 2008 into the mid-90's. Traded to Yokohama in June, 2008. One pitch win (8/1/2010 against Yakult at Iwaki). Posted to MLB during the 2011 offseason, but there were no takers. At his behest, he was released and continued searching for a job in America. Fastball usually around 90mph, curveball, changeup, slider and shuuto, but with inconsistent command. Is married. Reference:  Wikipedia Japan
