Biography: Started playing baseball in pre-school atthe behest of his elementary school coach father (who was also a two time Kyushu amateur golf champion), but began playing organized ball in fourth grade. Moved on to Senior League in junior high. Became his high school team's ace his junior year. Played in two Koshien Tournaments (spring 1994-1995). Drafted on the second round (1995). Traded to Rakuten in May, 2006, but got hammered in the minors and didn't see any top club action that year. He would make the team out of spring training, though, in 2007. His taking 12 years since he was drafted to win a top level game is the second longest in pro yakyu history. Was voted on to the all star team in 2007,. but an injury kept him from appearing in any of the games. Came back briefly, but was sent down in late August and finished the season in the bushes. Fastball maxes out at 93mph with a slider and shuuto out of a near sidearm slot, , but has substandard control. Is married. Still a current player. Reference: Wikipedia Japan

Biography: Started playing baseball in elementary school. Became his high school team's ace his junior year. Played in one Koshien Tournament. Didn't appear in any games the first three years of his college career, but he then became his school's ace as a senior, racking up six wins in 15 games with a 2.01 ERA. Drafted on the sixth round (2003). Could run it up there upwards of 93mph, but had lackluster control. Played in the Hawaiian Winter League during the 2006 offseason, but that didn't elicit any improvement and a shoulder problem didn't help, eroding his velocity. Released after the 2007 season.
