Biography: Sidearmer. Started out playing baseball in first grade because he had to participate in some school club activity. Started to like it the better he got at it. Was a reliever in high school. Played in one Koshien Tournament. Hurt his shoulder in college and almost quit baseball, finaly getting a chance to pitch his senior year, leading his club to a Japanese national championship. Drafted on the seventh round (2003). Made the big club right out of spring training his rookie year. Had leg and back problems in 2006 and was subsequently released and and then signed by Rakuten after a tryout. He then injured his injury  late in spraing training of 2007 and decided to forego surgery, choosing instead to try to rehab it with strengthening exercises, which turned out to be successful. However, he came down with another elbow problem just after Opening Day and then pulled a groin. Came back in July and was serviceable. Selected to one all star team (2010). Throws in the high 80's with a cutter, slider, shuuto, sinker and forkball. Married to Nagoya TV announcer Kaori Takayama. Official Homepage Reference:  Wikipedia Japan

Biography: Started playing baseball in fourth grade. Won a total of 21 games in college. Was named toa Japanese collegiate all star team that faced off against one from the U.S. (1993). Was part of the Japanese olympic baseball team at the Atlanta olympics. Drafted on the first round (1996). Threw a one hitter in an Opening Day start, the only hit being a leadoff first inning knock by Yutaka Wada (1998 against Hanshin, the third man in history to toss a one hitter on the first day of the season)). Added a changeup in 1999 to accompany his mid-80s fastball and forkball and it proved effective for him, as he racked up a career high 17 wins. Was also the Opening Day starter in 2000. Started game six of the Japan Series to help Yokohama wrap up its first championship in more than four decades (1998). Was originally a starter, but his tendency to give up the longball and lack of stamina caused him to be moved to the bullpen. Has given up three homers to pitchers, the 100th he surrendered lifetime, in fact, being hit by Hiroshima hurler Ken Takahashi. 1000th IP (4/7/2006 against Hanshin at Osaka Dome). Selected to two all star teams (1998-1999). Became a coach with Yokohama after retirement. Reference:  Wikipedia Japan

Biography: Started playing baseball in third grade. Was an outfielder and reliever in high school. Played in one Koshien Tournament (summer 1995). Drafted on the third round (1996). Hurt his elbow in 2001 and had surgery on it as a result, but his career never really recovered.  In 2003, set a Western League record by surrendering 11 runs in a single inning and 18 in four frames to establish another mark. Drafted on the fourth round (2005). Lead all PL relievers in OBP against in 2007 with a .238 mark. Sold to Hanshin in April, 2010. Dominated in the minors in 2011, but that didn't translate to anything with the big club. He throws in the high 80's with a slider and a circle change. Reference: Wikipedia Japan

Biography: Was a Lotte fan growing up. Started playing baseball in junior high in Pony League. Drafted on the first round (2003). Had some shoulder pain during spraing training 2005, but would later rack up 29 straight scoreless innings but wasn't given a whole lot of run support. Had more shoulder issues in May, 2006 and missed the next year and a half. Had shoulder surgery during the 2007 offseaon. Came back in May, 2008, but displayed inconsistent command, getting absolutely drilled by Yomiuri (7.51 era against). That was also compounded by his historical problems dealing with Hiroshima. Unfortunately, his command didn't improve in 2009 and he had his worst year ever. Sold to Rakuten during the 2011 offseason. Fastball in the high 80's, slider, cutter, curve and forkball. Biography: Moved to Tokyo at age seven and started playing baseball in third grade. Played on a national champion Little League team as a seventh grader. Moved on to Senior League befoe becoming his high school team's ace. Was a lottery pick and taken on the first round by Hiroshima (1999). Was the first lottery pick out of high school who had no Koshien Tournament experience in 33 years. And just to up the pressure further, was given Yutaka Ono's old number after Ono had retired the previous year. Had reportedly been clocked at 94mph, but that would deteriorate to the high 80's as a pro. Suffered a torn laburm in May, 2008 and missed the rest of the season. Went to a sidearm delivery in 2006, but returned to an over the top delivery for the 2007 campaign. Was released at the end of the 2009 schedule and was signed to a taxi squad deal. Selected to one all star team (2004). Has been dogged by control problsms and that confined him to the minors for the duratio of the 2005 season and otherwise hindered any prospect of success for him. Reference:  Wikipedia Japan
