Biography: Was on his high school's team's baseball squad, but never got into a game during his career there. Went 4-5 in 26 games in college while showing poor command of his breaking stuff. He would then gravitate to the industrial leagues and then to the Baseball Challenge League with the Shinano Grandserows before Yomiuri took him on the first round of the taxi squad draft (2009). He was added to the regular roster in March, 2010. Three quarter delivery out of which he throws a fastball that tops out at 93mph, with a cutter, slider and changeup. Still an active player.
