Biography: Staretd playing baseball in fourth grade. Hurt his shoulder in college and he would have more issues with it in the pros. Won a total of seven games against four losses for his career at Hosei. After leaving college, worked at an Oita area bank and was going to play nanshiki ball, but his girlfriend (now his wife) objected and he joined Toyota to play ball there, where he was clocked as high as 93mph. Drafted on the first round (2001)  Selected to the Japanese olympic baseball team at Athens (2004). Missed some time in 2006 with a case of tonsilitis and then had more shoulder issues in 2007. Had some shoulder problems during the second half of the 2010 season. Started on Opening Day 2008-2010 and winning all three games. Biography: Sidearmer. Was his team's ace in high school. Played in one Koshien Tournament (summer 1962). Repetoire consisted of a fastball, curve, shuuto and slider. Went into the Carp rotation in 1965. Had a no hitter with two outs in the ninth, but was tagged for a knock by Kuroe to spoil it (7/31/1966 against Yomiuri at Hiroshima Municipal Stadium in a 2-0 victory). Traded to Hanshin. Biography: Played nanshiki ball in high school and semi-hard ball in college. Drafted on the sixth round (1999). Hurt his shoulder during the 2002 campaign and then suffered whiplash after being battered by Tuffy Rhodes during a brawl arising out of the plunking of Norihiro Nakamura in 2003. He never realy recovered after that while with Seibu, his control and velocity heading south. Traded to Hiroshima in March, 2006. Biography: Started out playing baseball in third grade and was a Chunichi fan. Played in one Koshien Tournament. Drafted on the fourth round (2006). Didn't win any of his ten quality starts in 2007. Biography: When he was in college, was thought to be the hardest thrower in Japan. Was reportedly idolized by Eiji Sawamaura. Gave up a grand slam to Earl Averill in the first inning of a start against an MLB all star team and lost 5-2 (11/8/1934 at Yunokawa Stadium in Hakodate, Hokkaido). Joined the Giants in December, 1934 when they were known as the Dai Nihon Tokyo Club. Drafted into the military in fall, 1938.Died of disease in a Pyongyang military hospital.
